Les Aventures de Buzz l’Éclair on Game Boy Color is one of those rare movie games that doesn’t feel like a cash grab. You’re Buzz, obviously—rocket boots, laser blaster, the whole deal—bouncing between platforms and zapping rogue toys that look like they escaped from Andy’s room. The controls are snappy, and the little jetpack boosts make jumping around way more fun than it has any right to be.

It’s got that classic Pixar energy: bright colors, goofy enemy designs (I still laugh at the toy soldiers with their tiny parachutes), and music that somehow makes a Game Boy sound cheerful. Some levels throw in light puzzles, like flipping switches or dodging conveyor belts, but mostly it’s just pure, breezy platforming. Not too hard, not too easy—just right for playing in short bursts.
