Play Baby Bug Online
Control a bug navigating mazes, flipping paddles to open paths. Collect food pellets, avoid ants and enemies. Gather hearts for points and spell "EXTRA" for extra lives. 1989 Amiga action game.
Baby Bug came out on the Amiga in 1989, developed by Linel. It was one of those many action-puzzle games that filled out the library for the system, offering a straightforward, maze-based challenge without a lot of pretense. You controlled a little bug, and the goal was simple: clear each stage by eating all the food pellets while avoiding the various enemies that patrolled the corridors.
You navigate the bug through a series of single-screen mazes, using paddles to block or redirect pursuing ants and other creatures. The main objective is to collect every pellet to advance, but you also gather hearts that slowly spell out the word "EXTRA" to earn additional lives. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as enemy numbers and maze complexity increase. It feels like a tense game of cat and mouse where one wrong move can end your run abruptly.
