BananaTron was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it never had a formal commercial release. It was developed by a small team whose name doesn't appear in many records, but it captured the spirit of early PC shareware. The game fits right in with the era's simple, high-score focused arcade style, built for quick sessions on machines with limited color and sound capabilities.

You control a small robot monkey, moving left and right across a single screen to collect bananas as they fall. The main objective is to grab as many as possible while avoiding the crisscrossing neon lasers that gradually speed up. Each banana adds to your score, but one laser hit ends the game immediately. The pacing starts slow but quickly becomes frantic, demanding sharp reflexes and careful timing. It feels like a tense race against an accelerating clock, where every session pushes you to beat your previous best.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
