Bang! is one of those arcade shooters that’s way more chaotic than it looks. You grab the light gun, pick your difficulty (beginner’s surprisingly tough), and then the game throws random mini-games at you via this janky slot machine between rounds. One second you’re popping bottles like a sharpshooter, the next you’re frantically blasting bandits on a moving train with one bullet to spare.

The mini-games last about ten seconds each, just long enough to panic when you realize you missed the tutorial text. Some give you unlimited ammo; others make every shot count. There’s weird variety too—shooting bath bubbles? Roulette numbers? It shouldn’t work, but it does. Lose all three hearts and it’s game over, but the real fun is seeing how absurdly high you can push your accuracy score before the next stage humbles you.

Two-player mode turns it into a hilarious blame game when one of you accidentally shoots the wrong outlaw. Definitely an arcade relic worth dusting off.
