Game Overview
Bank Panic is this weird little arcade-style shooter for the Sega Master System where you play as a sheriff defending a bank from waves of outlaws. At first glance, it seems simple—just shoot the bad guys before they rob the place—but the timing gets brutal fast. Bandits burst through doors, some fake you out by pretending to surrender, and others just rush you with guns blazing.
What I like is how tense it feels when three doors open at once and you’ve got to prioritize targets. The pixel art’s charming in that chunky Master System way, and the music has this twangy Western vibe that somehow loops forever without driving you insane. It’s one of those games where you’ll lose a few rounds before realizing half the challenge is not accidentally shooting civilians. Definitely more fun than it has any right to be.
