Game Overview

This one’s a weird little time capsule—a side-scrolling beat 'em up based on the '95 Batman movie, but only released in Japan for some reason. You pick between Batman or Robin (Batman’s way slower but hits harder, obviously) and punch your way through neon-lit streets and weirdly empty museums. The Riddler shows up to toss question-mark bombs at you, which feels about right for a mid-90s licensed game.

It’s got that classic Sega Genesis crunch to the sound effects, and the sprites are chunky in that satisfying way. Not gonna lie, the controls are a bit stiff—expect to get hit by goons you swear you dodged. But there’s something charming about how over-the-top the villain animations are, especially Two-Face’s ridiculous spinning attack. If you’re into janky retro brawlers, this is a fun oddity.
