Play Beauty and the Beast on Snes Online

You alternate between Belle’s careful platforming and the Beast’s brute-force rampages, with that SNES-era Disney charm covering up the jank. Those stained-glass backdrops still pop, though.

Game Overview

If you grew up with the SNES and Disney movies, this one’s a weird little time capsule. Beauty and the Beast turns the movie into a side-scroller where you switch between Belle—who’s all about jumping on bookshelves and dodging stuff—and the Beast, who just smashes through obstacles like an angry tank. The pixel art’s surprisingly pretty, especially the stained-glass windows in the castle.

It’s not Super Mario World, sure—some jumps feel weirdly floaty, and Gaston’s minions are annoyingly persistent. But the music nails the movie’s vibe, and there’s something oddly satisfying about playing as the Beast tossing barrels at wolves. Nostalgia does most of the heavy lifting here, but hey, that’s half the fun with these old licensed games. Just don’t expect a speedrun masterpiece.
