The pixel art’s surprisingly pretty, especially the stained-glass windows in the castle.

It’s not Super Mario World, sure—some jumps feel weirdly floaty, and Gaston’s minions are annoyingly persistent. But the music nails the movie’s vibe, and there’s something oddly satisfying about playing as the Beast tossing barrels at wolves.
