Beyond Wolfenstein was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released in 2001, a reissue of the original 1984 title by Muse Software. You control an Allied spy infiltrating a Nazi fortress, moving screen by screen through maze-like bunkers while collecting intelligence documents and eliminating guards. The game relies on grid-based movement and discrete, claustrophobic environments; combat is immediate and unforgiving, with weapons like the machine gun and rocket launcher posing a real risk to you in tight quarters. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty stems from limited visibility, unpredictable enemy placements, and the need to conserve ammunition. It feels tense and methodical, demanding careful movement and quick reactions in equal measure.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
