Big Nose and the Witchdoctor is one of those weird, janky NES games that somehow sticks with you—mostly because it’s so bizarre. You’re a caveman with a nose that could double as a weapon, swinging a club at everything from snakes to what I think are supposed to be evil shamans? The levels are all over the place—jungles, caves, some weird floating platforms—and half the time you’re not sure if a jump is impossible or just badly designed. But that’s the charm.

This beta version feels like stumbling onto a lost artifact. Some animations are half-finished, the hit detection is… questionable, and the witchdoctor boss looks like he was drawn in five minutes. But there’s something weirdly endearing about how rough it all is. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the unlicensed NES era at its most unhinged, this is basically a museum exhibit. Just don’t throw your controller when the jumps get unfair.
