Black Belt on the Sega Master System is one of those classic beat 'em ups where you play as Riki, a martial artist whose girlfriend Kyoko gets kidnapped. The game’s split into seven chapters, each with its own mix of enemies and a mid-level switch-up to keep you on your toes. Boss fights at the end of each stage are no joke—some dodge like crazy, others hit stupidly hard, so you’ve gotta learn their patterns fast. One wrong move and you lose health, but occasionally a cake floats by to top you up, which feels both ridiculous and lifesaving.
