You don't control a character; instead, you fire rays of light, beams, into the sides of an 8x8 grid, observing how they reflect, refract, or get absorbed by invisible atoms hidden within. The objective is to deduce the exact location of all atoms by interpreting the paths of these beams. Key mechanics include predicting beam behavior based on the rules of reflection and absorption, and using the "probe" command to check specific squares at a scoring cost. The puzzles start gently but quickly demand careful deduction and pattern recognition, with later stages becoming genuinely challenging. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
