Game Overview
Bonanza Bros. is this weirdly charming little heist game where you play as two cartoonish thieves—Mobo and Robo—who get roped into stealing stuff for some shady TV figure. The setup is ridiculous (why would they agree to this?), but it works. You sneak through buildings packed with guards, grabbing treasures while dodging spotlights and knocking out anyone who spots you. The guards go down easy with a quick shot, but if too many see you, the whole place goes on alert.
What’s fun is how frantic it gets—you’ve only got three minutes per building, and the layouts are just confusing enough to make you panic when the timer’s low. The map helps, but half the time I’d miss one stupid vase and have to backtrack while guards respawned. And those bonus stages? Pure stress. Dodging spotlights for gold bars feels like a mini-game someone invented to torture you, but in a good way. The whole thing’s janky in that classic Sega Master System way, but it’s got personality. You’ll either love it or throw your controller after the fifth failed heist.
