Bouncing Balls came out in 2005 as an arcade game, though I've never been sure who actually made it. It was one of those straightforward, no-frills titles you'd find tucked between flashier cabinets, a simple concept executed without much fuss. It didn't try to reinvent anything; it just gave you a paddle and some bricks and let you get to work.

You control a small bar at the bottom of the screen, using it to bounce a single ball upward to break a field of colored bricks. The main goal is to clear each screen completely before the ball can fall past your paddle. Key mechanics include catching and releasing the ball for better control, managing multiple balls at once as they split from certain bricks or power-ups, and collecting items that widen your paddle or add extra lives. The pace starts slow but quickly escalates into frantic multitasking, especially when several balls are in play and you're scrambling to keep them all airborne. It feels like a tense, focused juggling act where one wrong move can end your run.
