Game Overview
Ah, Breach—one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes moving little soldiers across a grid feel like life-or-death decisions. You start with a squad, pick your loadout (always take extra medkits, trust me), and then it’s just you, some fog of war, and a whole lot of enemies waiting to ambush you. The turn-based combat is simple on the surface, but good luck getting through a mission without at least one "oh no" moment when you realize you left your sniper exposed.
It’s got that old-school charm where the graphics won’t blow you away, but the tension absolutely will. No fancy cutscenes, no tutorials—just you, your reflexes, and the creeping dread of hearing an enemy unit move somewhere in the dark. If you’ve ever played X-COM and thought, "I wish this were even more punishing," congratulations, you’ve found your game. The grenades are satisfyingly destructive, by the way.
This is the kind of game where you’ll reload a save five times just to nail that perfect flanking maneuver. Classic, brutal, and weirdly addictive.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
