Game Overview

Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show came out in 1992 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Villa Crespo Software. It was one of those early PC titles that tried to capture the spirit of arcade action games, with simple graphics and straightforward gameplay typical of the era. You don’t hear much about it now, but at the time it offered a lighthearted take on Wild West themes.

You control Buffalo Bill through a series of minigame challenges, each based on a different stunt or performance from the historic show. The main goal is to complete acts like knife throwing, stagecoach defense, and steer wrestling with as much style and accuracy as possible. Each stage has its own mechanics; for example, in the knife throwing round you time your throws to hit moving targets, while the stagecoach section has you punching bandits who try to climb aboard. The game moves quickly between scenarios, and some can be surprisingly difficult due to tight timing or awkward controls. It feels silly and unpredictable in a way that makes even failure entertaining.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
