Bumble Plot is a 1990 MS-DOS release from developer Softdisk Publishing. It fits right in with the era's experimental, often quirky, shareware titles, offering a simple premise with a surprising amount of tactical depth. You don't see many games where you play as a bee with a grudge.
You control a bee navigating a garden screen by screen, with the goal of eliminating all the antagonistic insects like beetles and hornets. Your main tools are environmental; you can lure enemies into waiting spiderwebs, drop poisoned pollen for them to eat, or blow on dandelions to create a flurry of distracting seeds. The game requires patience and observation, as a direct confrontation usually ends poorly. It feels like setting up a series of tiny, satisfying traps.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
