Game Overview

Bust a Move '99 is that classic bubble-popping puzzle game you probably remember from arcades, but now it’s on the N64 with some extra flair. You’re shooting colored bubbles up the screen, trying to match three of the same color to make them pop—simple at first, but it gets chaotic fast when the ceiling starts creeping down.

The real fun kicks in with multiplayer. There’s nothing like frantically lining up shots while your friend’s screen starts flooding with extra bubbles as revenge. And the power-ups? Some are weirdly specific (why does a samurai sword clear a whole column?), but they keep matches unpredictable. The music’s got that upbeat, slightly cheesy ‘90s arcade vibe too—you’ll either love it or mute it after an hour.

It’s one of those games where “just one more round” turns into a half-hour bubble-popping marathon. Still holds up if you’re into quick, competitive puzzles.
