Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Defiance on the DS is one of those "how did they fit this on a handheld?" kind of ports. You get the usual COD run-and-gun action, just scaled down—smaller maps, shorter firefights, but still that familiar rush when you flank an enemy squad. The controls take some getting used to (good luck sniping with the touchscreen), but once it clicks, it’s weirdly satisfying for a DS shooter.
Don’t expect the full console experience—some textures look like they’ve been through a blender, and the AI occasionally forgets it’s in a warzone—but for a quick fix between bus rides or classes, it does the job. The campaign’s bite-sized missions actually work in its favor. You’ll finish one just as your coffee gets cold.
