Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Defiance on the DS is a surprisingly solid handheld shooter. Yeah, the graphics are obviously scaled down, but the controls work better than you'd expect—strafing and aiming feels decent with the touchscreen. You’ll blast through tight corridors, take cover behind crates, and occasionally panic when enemies rush you from both sides.
The missions are bite-sized but intense, with objectives like defending a position or clearing out enemy squads. Some levels even throw in vehicle turret sections, which are chaotic in the best way. It’s not as deep as the console versions, but for a quick FPS fix on the go, it gets the job done.
Just don’t expect a deep story—most of the dialogue is garbled DS audio, so you’ll be leaning on mission briefings to know what’s happening. Still, it’s fun to see Modern Warfare’s chaos squeezed into a tiny cartridge.
