If you grew up loving Cars, this DS game is basically a pocket-sized dose of Radiator Springs chaos. You’ll zip through tracks as Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the gang—some races feel like proper Grand Prix showdowns, others turn into these weird spy missions where you’re dodging obstacles instead of just going fast. The controls are simple (it’s a DS, after all), but some of the later tracks actually get pretty intense.
Graphics are bright and cartoony, exactly what you’d expect, though don’t go in expecting Mario Kart levels of polish. It’s got that janky early DS racing game charm—weird camera angles sometimes, but the speed still feels satisfying. My favorite part? Unlocking silly little side missions where you play as side characters like Fillmore or Luigi. They’re pointless but weirdly fun.
Definitely a nostalgia trip if you’re into the movies, but even if you’re not, it’s a decent time-killer for short bursts. Just don’t expect a masterpiece.
