Game Overview
Cartels & Cutthroats is one of those MS-DOS games that makes you feel like a proper crime lord—if crime lords had to deal with pixelated menus and keyboard controls. You start small, just a few goons and a grimy corner of the city, but before long you're bribing cops, muscling in on rival turf, and deciding whether to whack that lieutenant who keeps looking at you funny.
It’s not just about brute force, though. The real fun is in the sneaky stuff—setting up fronts, laundering cash, and making sure your own crew doesn’t turn on you. Mess up, and suddenly your empire crumbles because you forgot to pay off that one detective. The whole thing’s got this rough, unpolished charm that makes every victory feel earned and every betrayal sting twice as hard.
If you ever wanted to see if you’d survive in the mob (spoiler: you probably wouldn’t), this is as close as it gets without ending up in actual prison.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
