I picked up Casper for the Game Boy Color back in 1999, a release from Lucky Chicken. It was one of those licensed games that came out during the handheld's peak, not exactly groundbreaking but solid enough for a quick playthrough. The visuals had that distinct GBC palette, all moody purples and greens that gave the spooky mansion some personality.

You control Casper as he drifts through the haunted house, interacting with objects and solving simple puzzles to progress. The main goal is to help the friendly ghost reunite with his human friends while avoiding or outsmarting various enemies, like skeletons and bats. You collect items, trigger environmental changes, and navigate room by room; the pace is relaxed, and the difficulty stays fairly low. It feels like a light, exploratory adventure, more about atmosphere than challenge.
