Play Centipede on gbc Online
Dodge centipede segments while spiders wreck your mushroom cover—tap fast to survive, but those scorpions mess with your controls when you least expect it.

Game Overview
Centipede on the Game Boy Color is basically the classic arcade bug-zapping chaos, but now you can take it anywhere. You're stuck in this weird enchanted forest armed with just a magic wand, and everything wants to bite you—centipedes, spiders, fleas, even scorpions. The controls are simple: tap to shoot, hold for rapid fire, but good luck keeping track of everything coming at you.
That centipede is the real star though. Starts as one long creepy chain, but every time you blast a segment, it turns into a mushroom and the next piece becomes the new head. By wave 12, you've got a dozen angry heads dive-bombing you independently. The spider's the worst—zooms in unpredictably, eats your mushroom cover, and rewards you more if you nail it up close (easier said than done).
There's some strategy in the mushrooms too. Leave them as shields, clear paths, or accidentally create poison ones when the scorpion shows up—those make the centipede charge straight at you. Four difficulty levels mean you can ease in or go straight to "why did I think this was a good idea?" The two-player modes are either cooperative or gloriously chaotic sabotage. You'll either bond or lose friends.
It's the kind of game where you swear you'll stop after one round, then suddenly realize you've been muttering "just one more try" for 45 minutes. The GBC version keeps that arcade feel but fits in your pocket, for better or worse.
