Game Overview

Centurion - Defender of Rome is one of those old-school MS-DOS gems where you get to play as a Roman commander leading armies in real-time battles—way before RTS games became a thing. You’ll fight barbarians, Carthaginians, and Parthians, but it’s not all war: between campaigns, you can jump into gladiator fights, race chariots in the Circus Romana, or even command massive naval battles with triremes and quinqueremes (the bigger ships are tanks, but good luck turning them around quickly).

Oh, and there’s this weird but hilarious side quest where you can try to seduce Cleopatra if you play your diplomatic cards right. The whole thing feels like a mix of strategy and chaotic Roman soap opera, which somehow works. Just don’t expect modern polish—this is pure ‘90s strategy with all the jank and charm that comes with it.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
