Play CHECKERS Online
Slide those pixel pieces diagonally, plan a few moves ahead, and try not to get jumped—the AI actually makes you work for that satisfying king-promotion chime. Pure, no-frills checkers that feels straight out of a '90s computer lab.

Checkers on MS-DOS is exactly what it sounds like—no surprises, no fluff. You get that familiar 8x8 grid, those little pixelated pieces, and the same old rules you probably learned as a kid. The AI isn’t half bad, either—it’ll punish lazy moves, but won’t feel like cheating. I lost my first three games before realizing I needed to actually think ahead.
There’s something oddly satisfying about the way the cursor snaps between squares, and that tinny victory chime when you finally crown a king. Sure, it looks primitive now, but that’s part of the charm. Play it in DOSBox with a cup of coffee and suddenly it’s 1992 again.
Best part? No ads, no tutorials, no nonsense. Just you and the board. If you’ve got five minutes and a competitive streak, this still holds up.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
