Game Overview

Codename: ICEMAN is this weirdly specific late '80s MS-DOS adventure where you play as Johnny Westland, a Navy officer who gets pulled from a Tahiti vacation (and a one-night stand with a woman who turns out to be a spy—classic) into a Cold War mess over Tunisian oil. The Soviets kidnap a US ambassador, and suddenly you're navigating a nuclear sub through icebergs, fixing busted equipment mid-mission, and sneaking past harbor sensors in this clunky underwater drone thing.

It's got that Sierra-style "die if you pick the wrong dialogue option" tension, and the submarine controls feel like you're actually wrestling with 1980s military tech. The whole thing oozes Cold War paranoia—right down to the abrupt happy ending where Johnny gets promoted and marries the mystery woman. Definitely a product of its time, but there's something charming about how seriously it takes its own ridiculous premise.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
