Play Comix Zone Online
You play a comic artist trapped in his own gritty comic book, punching through panels and ripping the paper to pull off moves while your pet rat chomps on bad guys. Every punch feels like it’s shaking the page.

Comix Zone came out in 1995 for the Sega Genesis, developed by Sega Technical Institute. It was one of those late-era Genesis games that really tried to push what the hardware could do visually, with a style that felt like you were playing inside a comic book. The whole presentation was bold and loud, fitting right in with the attitude of mid-90s action games.
You control Sketch Turner, a comic artist who gets pulled into his own creation. Your goal is to fight through each page of the comic to reach the final boss. The game plays out screen by screen, with you breaking through panel borders and even tearing the paper to find items or shortcuts. Combat is up close, using punches, kicks, and occasional weapons; your pet rat, Roadkill, can also be sent out to attack or fetch health. It’s fast, difficult, and demands quick reactions. Playing it feels like being in a fight where every hit has weight, and the world might literally tear apart around you.
