Play Comix Zone (Sega Genesis in DOSBOX) Online
You smash through comic panels as a trapped artist, dodging ink-drawn traps and pulling off brutal combos—until the next page flips and everything tries to kill you again.

Comix Zone came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Sega Technical Institute. It was a late release for the Genesis, and playing it on DOS felt like a direct, if slightly awkward, port of a console game that was already pushing the hardware. You could tell it was designed for a controller, not a keyboard, but it still carried that distinct mid-90s Sega attitude.
You control Sketch Turner, a comic book artist pulled into his own creation. Your goal is to fight through each page of the comic to reach the final panel and defeat the villain, Mortus. The game plays out screen by screen, with you breaking through panel borders to progress. Combat relies on punch and kick combos, throws, and using items you find, like grenades or your pet rat, Roadkill, who can fetch health or access small passages. The pacing is relentless; enemies and environmental hazards come constantly, and the difficulty is punishing. It feels like a desperate, frantic brawl where every mistake costs you dearly.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
