Game Overview

Man, Conquest of Japan is one of those old MS-DOS games that just sticks with you. You start off as some minor feudal lord with a handful of villages, and suddenly you're knee-deep in alliances, betrayals, and full-blown wars. The first time I played, I thought I could just steamroll my neighbors—big mistake. Turns out, diplomacy matters way more than I expected, and those sneaky AI clans will backstab you the second they get a chance.

The battles are simple but tense—you move stacks of units across a pixelated map, but there's something weirdly satisfying about watching your samurai clash with enemy forces. And ninjas? Yeah, they'll pop up out of nowhere to wreck your plans. It's got that perfect mix of strategy and chaos where no two playthroughs feel the same.

If you're into retro games or just love the whole samurai-era vibe, this one's a blast—just be ready to lose an afternoon or two trying to conquer Japan.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
