You control a colonial power, managing settlers, soldiers, and resources across a large hex-based map. Your main goal is to establish a thriving colony while competing against rival European nations and dealing with indigenous populations. Key mechanics include exploring fog-covered terrain screen by screen, building and upgrading towns to produce units and goods, and engaging in tactical combat with customizable unit formations. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
