Play Crazy Cars Online
Race your sports car against the clock on highways and city streets, dodging traffic and using nitro boosts to finish each stage before time runs out in Crazy Cars.
Crazy Cars came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Titus Interactive. It was one of those early racing titles you'd load up from a floppy disk, a straightforward arcade-style game that fit right in with the expectations of PC gaming at the time, before 3D accelerators or detailed physics models were the norm.
You control a sports car, viewed from behind, racing against a clock on highways and through city streets. The main goal is simply to reach the end of each stage before time runs out. The driving feels loose and slide-heavy, making it a constant fight to keep the car centered as you weave between other vehicles; you also have to manage a limited nitro boost for short bursts of speed. It's not an easy game, the controls are twitchy and the traffic is relentless. What stays with you is the constant tension of trying to go fast without spinning out or crashing.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
