Game Overview

Crazy Cars II: F40 Pursuit Simulator came out in 1989, part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup from Titus Interactive. It was one of those early racing titles that tried to capture the thrill of high-speed chases on hardware that could barely keep up, a common ambition in that era of gaming. You got a simple premise, a fast car, and a lot of obstacles between you and the finish line.

You control a red Ferrari F40, weaving through traffic on a multi-lane highway while being aggressively pursued by police cars. Your main objective is to simply survive each stage, outrunning the cops long enough to reach the goal. The signature mechanics involve constant, frantic lane switching to avoid slower civilian vehicles and managing your limited fuel supply by collecting canisters that appear on the road. The pacing is relentless; one mistake often sends you spinning into an instant crash. It feels like a tense, jittery race against your own reflexes more than anything else.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
