Game Overview

Ever wondered what it'd be like to steer the Soviet Union through its messiest years? Crisis in the Kremlin drops you right into the middle of that chaos—you're calling the shots as the USSR starts cracking at the seams. At first glance, it looks like another dry political sim, but within minutes you're sweating over whether to crack down on protests or loosen the reins, watching your approval ratings swing wildly with every call.

The economy's a nightmare to manage (just like the real thing), and your cabinet members all have their own agendas—some will stab you in the back the second things go south. I lost three playthroughs before realizing you can't just throw tanks at every problem, no matter how tempting it is when the Baltic states start getting ideas.

Yeah, the graphics are pure MS-DOS brickwork, but the tension holds up shockingly well. One minute you're negotiating with Reagan, the next you're scrambling to stop bread shortages from sparking riots in Moscow. It's one of those rare games where reading a history textbook afterward actually helps you play better. If you've got the patience for its brutal learning curve, it's still one of the most authentic power struggles ever put on screen.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
