Play Curse of the Azure Bonds Online
You wake up with glowing sigils burned into your arms—now five different villains can control you, so you’ve gotta hunt them down across the Forgotten Realms, fighting through ambushes and their twisted schemes.

Curse of the Azure Bonds came out in 1989 from SSI, part of their Gold Box series that ran on MS-DOS. It was a time when computer RPGs were deep, turn-based, and often unforgiving, and this one fit right in. You played it on a chunky monitor, typing commands or using keyboard shortcuts, and it didn't hold your hand.
You control a party of up to six characters, moving them screen by screen across an overworld map and through detailed locations like cities and dungeons. The main goal is to track down and defeat the five villains who placed the magical bonds on you, each with their own lair and followers. Combat is tactical, using the AD&D rules; you position your fighters, have your mages cast spells, and manage health and resources carefully. The game is methodical, even slow, and the difficulty is real, especially in some of the later enemy strongholds. It feels like solving a dangerous, personal puzzle across a world that keeps trying to kill you.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
