Game Overview

Cyber-Lip is one of those classic Neo Geo run-and-gun shooters that feels like a mix of Contra and a sci-fi B-movie. You play as one of two soldiers fighting through waves of rogue androids—basically Earth’s own defense system gone haywire. The controls are tight, and you’ll grab different weapons as you blast through levels, though I always end up sticking with the spread shot because, well, it just works.

The coolest gimmick is the "core bot"—a floating ring that obliterates anything it touches, but you only get it by taking down specific enemies. It’s satisfying when you time it right, but the clock’s always ticking, so you can’t just camp and wait. Between levels, you hop into an elevator and pick your next route—up or down—but if you hesitate too long, the game throws you into a "Danger" mission. Not ideal when you’re already low on lives.

It’s got that classic arcade challenge—tough but fair, with just enough chaos to keep you replaying. If you dig old-school shooters, this one’s a solid blast from the past.
