Alright, so Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum is one of those NES games that starts simple and then suddenly you're sweating over oxygen meters and alien encounters. You play as Dash, a space explorer stranded on this weird alien planet, and your goal is basically to loot every room you can find while dodging creatures that drain your air supply way too fast.

The controls flip between top-down (for elevator shafts) and side-scrolling (for rooms), which keeps things interesting. At first, I kept running into aliens because I wasn't paying attention—turns out, those little jerks are everywhere. Bombs and keys pop up occasionally, letting you unlock new areas or blast through obstacles, but the real trick is finding hidden rooms. Sometimes you'll stumble into one and get a sweet express elevator... or, just as likely, get dumped back a few floors. Classic NES troll move.

It's got that old-school 'figure it out as you go' vibe, and the oxygen timer adds just enough panic to keep you moving. Not gonna lie, some of those later levels had me muttering at the screen.
