Game Overview

Okay, so Datach - Ultraman Club - Supokon Fight! is one of those weird, Japan-only NES games that somehow makes giant monster wrestling feel totally normal. You pick an Ultraman (or one of their weird alien enemies) and just start throwing hands in this pixelated ring. The controls are simple—grab, punch, jump—but the matches get surprisingly tense when you realize some of these aliens have ridiculous special moves.

It’s not exactly deep, but there’s something hilarious about watching these blocky sprites suplex each other while the crowd cheers in 8-bit. The roster’s small, but half the fun is figuring out which character’s cheap move you’ll abuse first. (Pro tip: The red guy’s flying kick is borderline unfair.)

If you’ve ever wanted to see Ultraman piledrive a kaiju into next Tuesday, this is your game. Just don’t expect a masterpiece—it’s pure, janky nostalgia.
