Play Davidic Matchup Online

Flip pixelated Bible scene cards against the clock—somehow way more intense than it sounds, especially when you keep confusing Samson with Goliath. Those crunchy match sounds still live in my head rent-free.

Game Overview

Davidic Matchup is a 1990s MS-DOS game released as part of the 0 MS-DOS Classic Games collection. It was developed by a small studio whose name escapes me now, but it fit right in with the kind of simple, focused titles that filled shareware catalogs and bargain bins back then. You wouldn't call it a graphical powerhouse, but it had a clear purpose and a specific charm that made it memorable for those who spent time with it.

You control a cursor to flip cards depicting various biblical figures and scenes, aiming to find matching pairs before the timer runs out. The main objective is to clear the board by remembering card positions and making correct matches under increasing pressure. Signature mechanics include a strict time limit that shrinks with each level and themed card sets that range from well known characters to more obscure references, which can trip up even seasoned players. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding sharp memory and quick decisions. It feels like a race against your own focus, where one misplaced guess can undo your progress.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
