Play Moses Matchup Online

You play as Moses sliding tiles to part the Red Sea while dodging Pharaoh’s guards—that weirdly satisfying crunch when tiles click into place makes the janky pixel art worth it.

Game Overview

Moses Matchup was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of early titles from the 1980s. It was developed by a small studio whose name has faded over time, but the game itself remains a curious artifact from the era of simple, puzzle-driven experiences. It fits right in with other tile-based logic games of the period, relying on clear mechanics rather than complex graphics or story.

You control Moses, moving him tile by tile across a grid representing the parted Red Sea. Your main goal is to guide him safely to the opposite shore while avoiding the pursuing soldiers of Pharaoh. The core mechanics involve sliding pathway tiles to create a continuous route, all while enemy units advance each time you make a move. The pacing is deliberate, almost turn-based, and the difficulty comes from the limited moves and the encroaching threat. It feels like a tense, thoughtful race against an ever closing trap.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
