Daytona USA arrived on the Sega Saturn in 1995, a home port of Sega's popular arcade racer. It was one of those games that really showed off what the Saturn could do, even if it didn't quite match the raw power of the coin-op cabinets. For a lot of us, it was the closest we could get to that arcade feeling without stuffing quarters into a machine.

You take control of a stock car and race against a large pack of aggressive opponents on one of three tracks. The main goal is simple: finish first. The driving relies heavily on powersliding around corners, a technique you need to master to keep your speed up. The other cars don't give you any space; they will bump and block you constantly, making every lap a fight for position. It's a fast, chaotic game that demands quick reflexes and a lot of memorization. Hitting the perfect drift through a long curve while weaving through traffic feels incredibly satisfying.
