Game Overview

Deja Vu II: Lost in Las Vegas came out in 1988 for MS-DOS, developed by Icom Simulations. It was part of that wave of early adventure games where you spent a lot of time just figuring out what you were supposed to do next, without much hand-holding. The graphics were simple, the interface was all mouse clicks and inventory puzzles, and it felt very much of its time.

You play as a private investigator who wakes up in a Las Vegas hotel with no memory and a gang of mobsters on his tail. The goal is to uncover what happened to you and why you're being hunted, which involves exploring the city screen by screen, picking up items, and talking to characters. The puzzles are inventory-based and often require combining objects or using them in specific locations; one wrong move can get you killed, so you save often. It moves at a deliberate pace, and the difficulty comes from obscure clues and trial and error. Playing it feels like slowly untangling a knot, where every small discovery matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
