Ever wanted to make your own NES shooter? Dezaemon is this weird little cartridge that lets you build your own vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up from scratch. You get to tweak everything – your ship's design, three full levels, even the title screen. The music editor's clunky but surprisingly deep once you figure it out (took me forever to make a decent 8-bit boss theme).

If you just want to play, there's a premade shooter called E.D.I.T. bundled in – standard spaceship stuff with three stages, but the weapon upgrades are fun. Grab the speed boost if you're impatient, but trust me, you'll want those lasers for the bullet-hell boss fights.
