Oh man, Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk takes me back. You play as this little egg dude—yes, an actual egg with arms and legs—rolling and jumping through this surprisingly huge fantasy world. Within minutes you'll be pushing mushrooms to climb trees, dodging weird bouncing enemies, and trying to figure out which of these random objects in your inventory actually solves the puzzle in front of you.
The whole thing has this goofy British adventure game charm—like when you accidentally drop a bucket on a gnome's head and he gets mad in the most polite way possible. The pixel art pops with bright colors, and the puzzles actually make you think (no hand-holding here). Just don't get too attached to your lives—one wrong jump into a spike pit and *poof*, there goes poor Dizzy in a little eggy explosion.
Out of all the Dizzy games, this one feels the most polished. It's got that perfect mix of nostalgia and legit good design that still holds up. If you've got any love for classic platform-adventure hybrids, this egg's worth cracking open.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
