Game Overview
Donkey Kong 3 (JUE) is a weird little arcade shooter—nothing like the platforming of the first two games. You play as Stanley, a guy with a spray gun, trying to push DK up vines while swarms of bees and caterpillars attack from above.
The first few minutes feel chaotic. You're jumping between platforms, spraying bugs, and trying not to let the flowers get destroyed. DK just hangs there, shaking hives and dropping junk on you. The controls are stiff, but once you get used to the rhythm, it's oddly satisfying to blast him upward with the super spray.
It's not deep, but there's something about the sheer absurdity of the setup—a greenhouse, a guy with bug spray, and a giant ape—that makes Donkey Kong 3 (JUE) stick in your head.
