Dragon Ball - Origins is basically Goku’s origin story, but with way more punching than you’d expect from a kid with a monkey tail. You start off as tiny Goku, swinging his power pole at dinosaurs and figuring out how to use his Kamehameha (spoiler: it takes a few tries). The combat’s simple but satisfying—you’ll tap and swipe your way through enemies, and later unlock wilder moves as you level up.

Between fights, there’s some light puzzle-solving—nothing too brain-melting, just enough to keep things from being a straight-up brawler. The art style nails that classic Dragon Ball look, and the chibi-style characters somehow make Bulma’s attitude even funnier. If you’ve ever wanted to relive Goku’s early adventures with a bit more interactivity, this one’s a solid pick for the DS.
