Game Overview

Dragon Ball Evolution on PSP is... well, it's definitely a game based on that live-action movie we don't talk about. The 3D fights look flashy at first, with characters throwing energy blasts and pulling off signature moves, but the controls feel stiff compared to other Dragon Ball games. You've got your basic combos and special attacks, though pulling off anything fancy takes more patience than skill.

Oddly enough, the character models look closer to the movie versions than the anime—which might be a plus if you're into that uncanny valley vibe. The stages are destructible, at least, so you can smash opponents through buildings when you land a solid hit. Just don't expect the depth of Budokai or Tenkaichi.

It's one of those games you play once for curiosity's sake, then quietly forget exists.
