Play Dragon Ball Z : Buu's Fury Online

Punch through waves of enemies as Gohan, then panic when Buu shows up—combat’s tighter now, and those level-ups actually matter. Feels like the anime, right down to the messy platforming moments.

Game Overview

I picked up Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, a time when the handheld was packed with licensed games of varying quality. This one was developed by Webfoot Technologies, and it was the third in a loose trilogy of DBZ action RPGs on the system. It felt like a natural step up from its predecessors, aiming to cover the final major story arc of the series right there in your pocket.

You control Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and others, switching between them to fight through hordes of enemies across large, connected maps. The main goal is to stop the magical menace, Majin Buu, from destroying the Earth. You explore areas screen by screen, engage in real-time melee combat, and collect Zeni and experience points to permanently upgrade your character's stats and learn new abilities. The pacing is brisk, though some grinding is necessary to stand a chance against the tougher bosses. It feels like a condensed, playable version of the anime's climax, with all the yelling and energy blasts intact.
