Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai on PSP is one of those rare anime fighters that actually feels like the show—fast, flashy, and full of ridiculous energy blasts. The story mode follows the "Rebirth of Fusion" movie plot, which means you’ll be punching through waves of villains as Goku and friends. It’s cheesy in that classic DBZ way, but the fights are surprisingly tight for a portable game.

What really makes it shine is the roster. You’ve got all the usual suspects like Vegeta and Broly, but also some deep cuts like Pikkon and Cooler. Each fighter actually feels distinct—Janemba’s weird teleporting nonsense still trips me up sometimes. And yeah, you can go wireless versus a friend, which usually ends with someone yelling about spamming Kamehamehas.

PSM wasn’t wrong—even if you’re not a DBZ fanatic, the combat’s snappy enough to keep you hooked. Just don’t expect deep mechanics; this is pure over-the-top spectacle.
