Play Eragon (Supremacy) (E) Online
Start as a farm kid, end up slashing soldiers and roasting enemies with dragon magic—simple combat, but those flying sections on Saphira? Pure handheld joy.

Eragon for the Nintendo DS came out in 2006 from Vivendi Games, a time when licensed movie games were a common sight on the handheld. It was one of those titles you'd pick up if you were into the fantasy book or just looking for a straightforward action adventure to pass the time.
You control Eragon, a young dragon rider, fighting through linear levels with a simple combo-based sword and a magic system for ranged attacks. The main goal is to follow the film's story, defeating soldiers and creatures across various environments. The touch screen is used for dragon flight sections, where you guide Saphira through on-rails shooting sequences, and for casting spells by drawing specific symbols. The pacing is fairly quick, and the difficulty isn't too punishing, making it an easy game to jump into. It feels like a competent, if unremarkable, hack and slash that makes decent use of the DS hardware.
