Excite Bike is one of those NES games that somehow never gets old, even with its super basic graphics. Your little bike looks like it's barely holding together, wobbling and overheating if you push it too hard—but man, when you hit a ramp just right and go flying, it’s pure joy.

The other bikes always seem faster than yours at first, until you figure out how to balance speed and not blowing up your engine. And yeah, the track editor is weirdly fun to mess with—I spent way too much time making impossible jumps just to see if I could land them. It’s simple, but something about the way it controls keeps you coming back.
